The start of our blog...

Since moving to Roseville, Minnesota, Justin and I wanted to find a way to share a little more about how our familyis doing with our family and friends that we are missing. We'll see how this all works, but hopefully we will figure out how to use this for our pictures and anecdotes about Rachel with all of the hilarious things that she does to keep us entertained.

Rachel's vocabulary has exploded since moving here. I'm not sure what it is (possibly the lack of uncles to keep her entertained?) but she definitely likes to talk more and let us know what she does and doesn't like. Right now she enjoys saying "hi" to everyone we pass. In the grocery stores, church, or at the park she tells us that she's being "nice" after she says "hi, people". In the mornings she tells me that she is "awake" and then recounts very detailed dreams (which usually consist of saying words about everything she sees in front of her). She has also been introduced to the joy of television and likes to talk about the "Elmo Show" (Sesame Street) and "Silly Turtles (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - don't worry we don't let her watch this whole show).

We've made some new friends of which she is already very fond. On Thursday we went on a walk around the lake with Parker, Mayli, and Cara and she loved it! After the walk Rachel and Parker were having races (poor Cara- 15 months- was trying to keep up) and even initiated a rousing game of Ring Around the Rosies, which consisted of Parker saying the words and Rachel laughing hysterically when they fell down.

Other than Rachel, Justin is working extremely hard in law school and still not quite convinced that he actually wants to enter the legal profession. I'm busy with my class and we're still unpacking (moving is the pits!). Well, we hope that this will be a good way to keep everyone updated and we'd always love to hear from you, so please let us know how you're doing!
