Even though you wouldn't think it from this picture, it has been great weather this week. This is when we went to the zoo and had a picnic. Rachel insisted on holding the blankets even though it was really nice. This is also her first picture of "big girl hair" (or pigtails), which she wants Bridget to put in all the time even though they don't stay in very well.
Rachel continues to be picky about what she will and will not wear. She picked these sunglasses out by herself and no amount of persuasion to get a pair that fit her face a little better would work. They had to be pink and sparkly (and it doesn't hurt that there is a princess on them).
She has been busy decorating the sidewalks around our home with chalk.
This hat was another choice of Rachel's. We needed to get a new sunhat for this year and she insisted on this one. She calls it her "garden hat" and wants to wear it pretty much all of the time.
Here she is hiding in her secret cave dressed up as "mother" (wearing pajamas, a tutu, necklace, and sunglasses). Should Bridget be worried that this is how she looks?
As usual, she picked out her own dress for church today (and instructed Justin specifically that she needed white tights too). Here she is splashing in the puddles on this rainy day.
