Spring is Here!

After a snowstorm today, it feels like spring is finally on its way. We have been busy as usual and the kids have been up to random and funny stuff. Ian loves wearing wetsuits and he had to take this picture one day to send to Justin (it's a Mario picture he painstakingly colored).
Josie couldn't be left out of the picture shoot.
Our cute friend Kristen Morris is the wonderful mom who gets her kids chicks to raise. Our children reaped the benefits of holding them without having to do any work.
Ian was a little to skittish to hold them for a picture.
But Josie was pretty excited.
Ian goes to sleep in funny places sometime - this night we found him in a makeshift bed on his floor.
Rachel had a great "Reading Rocks" week to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday. Here she is sporting her rock star hair. They had a competition throughout the week to see which classes could read the most minutes and Rachel's won an ice cream party! We had one very, very excited girl on our hands.

Grandad reminded us of this fun math game and Ian and Rachel love it. We don't do it with M&M's every time, but you can cover up any of the numbers in the equation with the cup so they have to figure it out.

One day Rachel made these cute flowers for Bridget and melted her heart right along with them.
It has been cold on and off so we've tried to keep busy inside. One day we made this block city with tape on the floor and it occupied the little ones for a long time.
Rachel had cute Izzy Miller and Leah Youngs over for a play date and I love that they sat and read Elephant and Piggy books for a while.

She's a beauty and getting pretty opinionated about her clothes (and everything else) these days.

Josie comes up with the funniest things and she keeps finding rocks and saying their her babies (usually "baby Cooper" just like the new baby next door). Today she was putting all of her babies in "time out" because they hit her. Can you guess where this girl spends a substantial amount of her time? She has no lack of imagination as you can see in this telling of a story at snack time (in this version she has some prompts from siblings, but she is quite capable of doing it all on her own as well). We hope that you're all enjoying warmer weather!
