End of Summer Wrap Up

School starts tomorrow and we can't believe the summer is already done.  It has been very busy and fun and it will probably be good for everyone to get on a normal schedule again.
Summerfest in Bountiful was really fun this year.  Here are shots from both days.

This is the Place was nice this year and ironically the kids were happiest and the best behaved the last day.
Look at our cute pioneers kids.
There is a theme running through Ian's life: the desire to earn money.  This day he though he could set out a drum stand to earn some dough.  His ending earnings after an HOUR of playing these drums in the summer heat included:  $0.24, 2 nails, and a mint.  Totally worth it in his opinion.

Rachel had a great summer of tennis lessons from the fabulous Kassia.
We enjoyed delicious and ridiculously large snow cones.
Ian and Rachel spent their money on some pretty sweet "spy" hats.
We found someone's home made TARDIS in Bountiful and were pretty darn excited about that fact.

Rachel had some Chinese tutoring in August to get prepared for school.  Her wonderful 2nd grade teacher Li Laoshi made it so much fun for these cute girls.
Rachel tried her best to look goofy.
We had some summer goals and the kids earned enough points for their first choice reward of having a Lagoon day.  It was so much fun and here is photographic proof that Ian and Josie do kind of like each other.

Rachel had so, so much fun but missed the pictures because she was off with Justin on the big roller coasters.  It was a great way to cap off a fun summer!

Josie cracks us up everyday and loves to sing and tell stories.  One morning we made a little video of her singing Barney's rocking Stranger Song and telling a little of her version of the Joseph story from the Old Testament.  In other news, Ian has created a new form of dance:  "agent style".
