February Living

February went by in a flash.  Here are some of the things we were up to.

 Andy liked to wear shades.

 And eat cereal like his brother and sisters.

 Justin cleaned out his files and found this sweet, sweet picture.

 Ian and Rachel went rock climbing with Justin.

 Ian was quite the little climber!

 So was Rachel!

 Josie was ... Josie.

Justin was so busy with the legislative session.  Here is a shot of him having to follow bills on both floors while doing a fiscal note and editing a bill simultaneously.

  We headed to a gymnastics meet.

 The girls loved to cheer.

 Ian came home with some questionable homework (beer=bear).

 Rachel saw this quote at the library and loved it so she wrote it on the white board.

 Andy is all kinds of trouble these days.

 But, he is mighty cute.  This boy loves to play the piano and will turn the pages while he does.

 

 Josie has quite the unique sense of style.  Such a cutie.

 They made happy/sad masks for preschool one day.

 Rachel made Ian this #1 brother medal.

 Josie made this sweet ninja outfit and showed us some moves.

 Pulling all the puzzles down and...

 just being cute.

 Also, he really, really wants to feed himself.  This results in messes like this.

 One day we found him relaxing in the rocking chair with a blanket.

 Rachel had a really exciting day at school when she got this great dictionary from the Rotary Club (they give them to all the 3rd graders in Centerville) and she won this book during Reading Week because she knew what the "mystery book" was.

 Rachel and Ian's dresser bit the dust and Andy was pretty excited about climbing in the drawers.

 We had an Activity Day night for the girls where a nurse came and taught the girls simple first aid.

 One of the Reading Week days was looking "wild" about reading and having simple facepaint.  This was our best effort before school.  Ian was super excited because his was "unique" (his said zoo in animal letters).

 Rachel added a bow to her bunny ears.

Rachel's class has been having mystery readers.  During the week they get clues about the reader and then the guest comes in on Friday and reads a book.  Justin was the first Dad to come in and they kids thought he was the coolest with one of our favorite books.  He had to tell them stories about each of his clues (slid down a glacier, had a food fight at Sunday dinner, did a handstand by the Great Wall of China, slept on a bed made of boxes, and ate fish eyeballs).

 It has been Lego mania around here.  They have been playing non-stop and loving it.
