Ian is 7!

Ian knows how to party!  He has had his big day planned out for weeks and weeks.  He decorated his own great poster for school and was so funny showing it to his class.  His teacher was cracking up at how he was choosing people (I'm only calling on people who are raising their hands...).
The Amazing Race was a must again this year and we upped the difficulty of the challenges.  Teams sampled green jello and carrots.
Made butter in pioneer clothes.

Had to find a dollar in change mixed with spaghetti noodles.

But these two came out the champions of this year.

We baked cupcakes into ice cream cones for our birthday boy.

More challenges...

Brady's face in this puzzle challenge is the best!  They were all mixed together.

What a cute team!

It was a fantastic day for a fantastic kid!  Some things we want to remember about our 7 year old Ian are:
His favorite color is blue.
He is pretty picky about food and his favorite fruit is pears, vegetable is broccoli, he loves pepperoni pizza and peanut butter and honey sandwiches.  He loves milk and any treat he can get unless it has caramel in it.
He is very intuitive with math and is getting to be quite a great little reader.
He loves being outside and playing with our neighbors.
He has such a funny sense of humor and makes us laugh with his "handsome" walking and signing.
He loves the Elephant and Piggie books by Mo Willems.
He loves pretending to be a ninja or a spy.
He loves telling and hearing jokes and laughs harder than anyone.
He loves playing legos.
He loves drawing and making his own books.
Life is good for this 7 year old and we love having him in our family!
