Ian knows how to party! To celebrate the big 9 he insisted on another addition of the Amazing Race and this time we upgraded our game with leftover envelopes from the recent youth race.
Goldfish and applesauce mixed were a huge hit (something he used to eat as a toddler).
Everyone danced to happy birthday.
Jumproping 9 times for the birthday boy.
Frisbee,
making gummy mutants,
and burpees.
The crazy challenge was matching all these family pictures to numbers on our world map.
But the birthday boy and Grandma came out on top this year!
Nana and Grandad got him this fun robotic fish with tank.
And a Knex play gun.Who wants cake when you can request rootbeer floats?
Then we had a really fun friend party at Boondocks.
These boys had a lot of energy and a ton of fun. We had Bryce, Joey, Joe, John, Hayden, Byron, Weston, and Jaden.
This was perfectly clean before we can along for sundaes. This was when Bridget and Justin were happy to pay the bill.
Laser tag was probably the favorite and we had a really fun party!
Things we want to remember about Ian when he is 9:
At his 9 year check he was 57 lbs (26%) and 52 in (41%).
He is a great reader and loves Spiderwick Chronicles, I Survived series, Judy Moody and Stink, Big Nate, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Ian loves trying to beat his dad at Mariocart, Minecraft, and other video games.
He loves being in a Burp Club with Uncle Brady.
He loves chess, Settlers of Catan, Ticket to Ride, and Monopoly.
His favorite parts of school are reading, library, science, and recess.
He is very creative and good at making up new superheros, writing songs, and coming up with new ways to make money.
He is our early riser and wakes up a reads his scriptures every morning and works out many mornings too.
He likes to run, garden, eat ice cream and generally be a great kid!
