August 2019

Bed head for the win.
Nana brought a fun leather jacket from Brian's childhood and Andy liked the shadows from the fringe.

And Rachel, Nana, and Bridget headed to NYC!
Sightseeing with Sandy and Brian around Peekskill.

Brian had quite the musical setup in his front room!  This electric cello is kind of the best.
Grand Central
Ground Zero Memorial
Trinity Church
Hamilton's grave
Rachel noticed a super fly on the way to the Statue of Liberty

Bridget making a fool of herself on Ellis Island (Newsies forever).
Ellis Island

The ferry ride was beautiful
We loved all the food in NYC.  Brian took us to amazing Indian food on the first day in the city.
This was Rachel's favorite book store ever.  It was massive and delightful.

The Met

Bridget was shopping for closet options
These Tiffany windows were incredible

Rachel's favorite crazy person picture

Central Park was so beautiful and we came across this fun little "castle" that had been recently restored.  Sandy and Brian were the best tour guides.

NYC Library

And off to King Kong the musical

Times Square

And Rachel matched the Empire State Building
We had a yummy dinner with Teddy before he headed off to college.
We were a little tired after some of the days.
The Russian Tea Room was an incredible experience.

UT was even represented.

Rockerfeller Center

And off to Mean Girls the musical!

We had a crazy time getting back home and had to leave our suitcase at LaGuardia.  Bridget and Rachel's stuff came home in two broken bags.
We headed to the Red Neck water slide with friends and had a blast.
Rachel went to Girls Camp (part 2) with the West Bountiful ward.

Ian needed a little food with Justin.
These cuties crushed the Terrain Race.

These three did the full course

We were excited to cheer for them while we waited for the kids race.

Andy did so well on the kids course and loved it!

Here came the bigs!

First day of school! 9th grade
6th grade

4th grade
1st grade

Our principal was the Mrs. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus!

Josie had a fun fiddle performance at the park.

And we were able to celebrate this darling girl's 10th birthday!

She had a fun birthday full of games with her friends.

Here was the plan of action for a great afternoon.
We love Josie so much - she is truly our sunshine girl!  Her check-up stats for this year were 4'2" (5%) and 48lbs (1%).
We were able to go and do baptisms at the Salt Lake Temple before it closed for renovations.
And on the big birthday day we headed for a little "breakfast" and she chose this!  We let her open one of her presents early...

And then Bridget and Josie headed to a movie at Station Park that night.
We even got a drive in done before the weather turned!
