Christmas Break

Before we left Utah, we visited one of our favorite places - the Tracy Aviary. It felt like we had the place to ourselves and the birds were really active during the winter. These are pictures of the flamingos and the peacocks. We also were able to see the pelicans getting fed and Rachel was seriously transfixed during feeding. She loves animals so much and is just fascinated with them. She still remembers some of the more unusual bird names from this little trip (like ibis). She's definitely surpassing her Mom's biology skills already!

We loved visiting everyone in Utah. It was really fun to be able to see our family and friends (Uncle Brian even came down from Canada!). We also were able to go sledding and build a snowman for the first time this year. It's kind of sad that we had to go from Minnesota to Utah for the snow! We miss everyone already and would always love you to visit us here!
