Frozen Birthday Girls

Bridget and Rachel had a really fun birthday week. For Bridget's birthday we went to dinner and her friends surprised her by taking her out to a late movie (who can feel too pathetic about getting older when you have such fun friends?). After Rachel's birthday of presents, games, and her very own kids meal (we have a little french fry junkie), we topped off the festivities by having some friends over for cake tonight. Rachel did a great job blowing out her two candles and then proceeded to eat her weight in cupcakes. It was a lot of fun and we're lucky to know so many great people here!

And, we have officially experienced the harshness of a Minnesota winter. This weekend there was a severe windchill warning in effect and it was getting down to -13 without the wind and -35 with the windchill. We had to be troopers and still do grocery shopping and trips to the school and church. But, whenever we kind of feel sorry for ourselves we can remember that the missionaries assigned to our ward were still riding their bikes in this weather!
