Rachel left Minnesota with a bang by having her 3rd birthday the week we left. We weren't going to have a party because of the moving chaos, but because most of the furniture was gone (giving us more space) we figured there wasn't any harm in granting her wish of having friends, cupcakes, and a pinata on the big day. If it weren't for some valient friends that helped in corralling the kids, we're pretty sure there would have been a pinata injury. Here are pictures in random order of her very fun 3rd birthday.
Rachel was officially spoiled this year and one of the fun presents she got from a friend was this great Ariel bubble blower. It has been a hit ever sense!

Here's the birthday girl by her pinata and one of the games we played at her "under the sea" party (pin-the-tail on Ariel).

Because of the move we left these birthday streamers up the whole week. If you don't have furniture, you might as well have something in the room, right?

Another favorite gift was her "super Rachel" cape. She is convinced that she runs faster and jumps higher with it on...and, she might be right!

Presents and great friends!

Here is her aquarium cake.

This is our girl blowing out the candles. Do you like the frosting on the knee?

Because blowing out the candles was so fun, we had to have a few more rounds after the party. We topped off the great day with our first family restaurant outing without grandparent assistance. Her only requirement was french fries, so we headed off to Snuffy's Malt Shop and had a great time. We can't believe our girl is growing up so fast and are so glad that we were able to celebrate her big day in Minnesota with her darling friends!
