Springtime Fun

So, our April Fool's post was evidently a little more cryptic than we meant it to be! Rachel didn't really get a tattoo, but everything else was really happening. Justin is still is sporting a lovely cast and Ian is climbing onto bigger and better things. For example, his new favorite place to be is on Rachel's bed. He gets up there himself and is proud every time. Isn't she nice to share?

Now that we don't have as many planned activities to go to, we've had to figure out some ways to spend our days at home. Rachel has grown a huge fondness for "sowing". Here she is showing her necklace that she strung with cheerios and thread. Fun and delicious!
Even though there hasn't been much snow, it has been pretty chilly here. Nothing to complain about after Minnesota, but we haven't been able to spend much time outside. This week we decided to just go even though it was windy. Here are the kids when we're about to set out on a walk. Rachel was showing her pirate face because she was being the captain of the ship.
She was also sporting a very exciting outfit. Here's a full-shot of one of her latest fashion choices.

Since we've come back to Utah we've tried quite a few times to get a kite up in the air. Rachel loves running around with it right behind her, but we've never gotten it to stay up. Here is the first time we did it - we're kind of impressed it could still fly after being dragged around so many times.
Diego was Rachel's first kite choice and it makes it more exciting, because then we can yell, "go, Diego, go!"
Fashion choice number two: for some reason socks on hands have been very funny lately. Here she is with her new accessory on our way to the park. When we got home I also found out she had put three pairs of socks on her feet. And, to make is a little more fancy, all of the socks were in different colors.
We loved General Conference this session and it was amazing to be able to sustain our new prophet, President Monson. But, listening to all of the talks must have been pretty tiring, because Rachel fell asleep like this on the footstool of a rocking chair downstairs. For a girl who doesn't usually take naps we were pretty impressed.
Here's our sleeping beauty - who knows, maybe she really fell asleep because she was looking at Parker's work-out magazine.
