This week went by pretty quickly and Justin kept busy by looking dapper at the Capitol with some fellow interns.

At home, Josie continued to be adorable and...

Ian continued to be slightly terrifying.

Ian initiated a new favorite game of jumping into an empty toy bin with a blanket over the top. It is always a little baffling what can keep these two entertained for an afternoon.

But the main event happened on the weekend when we officially celebrated Rachel's 5
th birthday. Here is one excited girl by her presents.

And the beautiful cake made by her wonderful Grandma.

Brady, Kassia, Grandma, and Grandpa made the
northerly trek to help us celebrate.

After a whirlwind present unwrapping we headed out to Rachel's favorite restaurant - Olive Garden. (Don't worry, Bridget and Josie were there, they were just the photographers).

We came back and
Rachel was able to enjoy some of her fun presents. Here she is with her new "spy gear".

And then the candles were blown out and cake-eating ensued.

Delicious.

Rachel and Ian kept playing with her new things long after everyone had to leave and here she is with Nancy in their matching vet scrubs.
Josie loved all of the extra attention and it accentuated her intellectual side.

You guys are so cute! How long is this internship going to last for Justin? Does he run into Leslie at the capitol? What's he going to do when he graduates? Josie is so cute! And you are looking great! I hope you are surviving ok without hubby around much. I would go crazy!
