C-Town

Things are slipping behind as usual, so we're trying to play a little catch-up. We have been trying to keep busy while Justin has been away and so we went to Cedar City to visit for a few days and had a really nice time. While we were in town we celebrated Ian's official birthday with a fun little luau.

Pictures got a little out of order this week, but there are more birthday pictures on the way...

A little carnival was in town and just at the bottom of Nana and Grandad's hill, so we had to go and check it out. Rachel donned a Penny hat and we headed to the festivities. Rachel loves being with her grandparents and we're pretty sure Grandad will have a 5-year-old shadow the whole time we're in Ireland.

The little motorcycle ride was Ian's favorite.

And sticking her tongue out was Rachel's favorite.

They even did a ride together and made great use of the bell. Are you surprised that our children would ever want to be noisy?

Rachel made sure she had lots of time reading with Grandad.

Ian made sure he got some time playing Grandad's guitar.

Rachel couldn't miss that opportunity either.

Nana and Ian went to the bakery and he was able to pick any cake he wanted. After some serious consideration he went for the "emergency vehicle cake" because it had the most toys on it. Smart boy and a delightful cake.

He's 3!

Since we hadn't seen Nana for a little while she decided to spoil all of the kids with presents and she scored with this dress for Rachel. She is so excited about it and has been wearing it pretty much anytime she can.

Ian kept all of his treasures in this box and was so excited about his new fun pajamas.

Josie has been such a trooper lately even though she had quite the stretch teething (when Justin left she had two teeth and in four weeks she got six more!). She was happy to be with her Nana and loved the extra attention.

What a sweet girl!

We have been mailing letters to Justin while he has been gone and Ian loves going to the post office to send them away.

We dropped by the Leavitt's home one afternoon and Ian loved the visit. What is better than chocolate and a great marimba recital? According to our boy, not much.

On our last day we went to Park Discovery and enjoyed some sunshine.

We ended the festivities with a little splash in a fun pool at Nana's house and then off to a playdate with Bridget's friends and their adorable kids. It was so much fun to see everyone and despite Bridget's best intentions no pictures were taken of her friends, but it was SO great to catch up with them!
