Enjoying Spring

We have had sporadically warm weather, so it seems like when there is sunshine we're trying to get outside. One day we surprised Justin with a little picnic at City Creek Park.

Ahh, Rachel. She put on this rocking outfit one morning and said she was going to wear it for the rest of her life. Bridget joked her and asked her if she was even going to wear it when she got married and she thought it was the funniest thing she ever heard. And, do you love how Ian is trying to help himself to food in the background? This kid is seriously independent and we've caught him doing things like trying to pouring his own drinks to packing his own bag for soccer (with treats inside).

Over Rachel's spring break we decided to have the cute neighborhood girls over for a Tangled movie party. Here is view A...

And view B of the crowd. And for any who were interested, Ian was by far the easiest one present.

We love how sweet Josie is with her "babies" and how she tries feeding them and changing them (she has to get the real wipes/diapers out for this). Yes, Ian is changing his horse's diaper in the back of this picture.

Outfits continue to rock - here she is as a detective.

Rachel and Ian love making "spooky" masks and so Josie decided to join in the "fun" too.

One day Ian surprised Rachel with a "sailing" party and tried to make everything ship-themed. She is a "sailing princess" and he is a pirate.

We had some girls over who were playing dress-ups and Josie insisted on joining the fun when she saw this costume.

Josie and Rachel are enjoying each other more and more lately and here they are cuddling on the couch.

One afternoon Rachel and Ian played school for quite some time. They were both the teacher and the student and the classroom organization was pretty impressive. (On the chalkboard was Rachel's lesson about the parts of the plant).

This last week Justin took Rachel on a hike to see how far they could get up Centerville peak. She was great and they made it to the top in pretty good time! She is so proud of her hike and when she looks at the mountain she says, "I've climbed to the top!"
