Capitol Reef

We decided to soak up a little sun in Capitol Reef National Park (Southern Utah) and are so glad that we did before the crazy rains began!
Nana and Grandad joined us and the kids were so glad to see them!

We started the trip with three rocking kids, two rocking parents (you'll have to take our word for it since there was no photo-documentation), and a car full of stuff. Rocking Kid 1,

After meeting up with Nana and Grandad we took in some gorgeous scenery at the Goose Neck and Sunset Point trails.

Josie fell in love with the horses and tried to climb through the fence to lead on back to the water. "Horsie, wa-wa!"

Our big hike with the kids was up to this natural bridge. We were impressed they made it in the heat and did a great job.

We decided to do a little pre-celebration for Ian's birthday and Nana and Grandad gave him some fun presents.

Justin and Bridget even snuck away for a couple of hikes without the kiddos.

We got home and had a ward party that night and the kids were thrilled to get their faces painted as a soccer ball...

and with flowers.

It was such a fun trip and great to spend time in such a beautiful place with great Grandparents! We also got to see Robyn, Del, and their adorable baby Leah, but didn't take any pictures. I know, so sad! But, it was great to see them too. We hope that everyone in Utah is surviving this crazy weather and enjoying the end of the school year.
