School is Out!

We are excited/nervous about school being out for summer. Excited in that we have tons more free time to all be together. Nervous because we have tons more free time to be all together. Just kidding - it is going to be a great summer, we are just going to have to keep busy with good things so that everyone stays happy. Rachel's last couple of weeks of school were a blast. They went on a field trip to Hogle Zoo and she was able to be "field trip buddies" with one of her great neighborhood friends. They had a really fun field day where she got this pretty butterfly on her face.

On the last day of school she was so excited to get out the door and say goodbye to all of her kindergarten friends.

Now, we'll just have keep busy with things like making paper Wii's since the mom of the house is mean and doesn't let them play it everyday. Here is Ian's best version of his paper remote. We're sure this will keep him occupied for a while.

In the meantime, this was kind of a funny boy/girl demonstration. The first video is Josie playing with Ian's Mario figurines (before we took the video she had been kissing each one again and again). As a small disclaimer Josie looks the way she does because we hadn't quite cleaned her up after church and Rachel had just barely put the necklace on her, which we shortly removed. Who are we kidding - at least one child looks slightly neglected at any one time around our home. The second video is Ian showing her how it's really done.
