Josie is 2!

Since Rachel has headed off for full days of school, Ian has been loving playing chess. He can remember most of the piece's moves except for that blasted knight.

Josie has been so excited about her birthday even though we know she didn't know what that would entail, but once we got the binkie out of her mouth, we had a pretty fun weekend.

We headed out for monster "kiddie" snow cones to celebrate the big day.

And Grandma outdid herself with a great kitty cake.

Our girl was certainly excited!

She did remember all about opening presents and got some really fun things. Thank you Grandmas!

She even got a stuffed pig so that she can relive her pig kissing days from This is the Place. She was so excited and kissed this one proudly exclaiming her famous line, "I kissed a pig!"

She grabbed her new sleeping bag (picked out by her sweet brother) and headed into her new play tent. It's fun being two!

We ended a fun party with our girl joining in the singing (with a little swaying back and forth) and some great candle blowing.

Some things about Josie at 2:

She is a very funny little girl and can get us all laughing harder than anyone. Her favorite right now is to pretend she is asleep (with fake snoring) and then open her eyes wide and say, "huh?"

Her favorite foods are noodles, applesauce, and chips. She is a good eater and will eat most fruits and vegetables.

She loves to "sing" and her favorite song is Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam.

She is very independent and tries to "read" books herself and is always telling us what we should be doing (Rachel and Ian listen most of the time).

She is very polite and says please and thank you more than her older siblings. She tempers her sweetness by saying "go away" more than any other phrase.

Her favorite movie is Tangled.

Her favorite book is Old MacDonald but coming in a close second is Blue Hat, Green Hat.

She loves to dance and will move around whenever she hears music.

She loves bike rides and can outlast her big brother and sister.

She is a great cuddler and gives sweet hugs and kisses.

We love our Josie and are so glad that she is in our family.

We have her doctor appointment tomorrow so we'll see if our tiny girl has packed on any weight. Judging by how she is in comparison to neighbors, we're not holding our breath.
