Summer Fun

These two pictures are courtesy of the lovely Damaris and more explanation is down below...

We have found out Rachel's 1st grade teacher and now it feels like summer is officially coming to a close with school starting in less than two weeks. We are just trying to pack in the fun while we can. Everyone's new favorite activity is jumping on the tramp with sprinklers underneath.

We made a fast trip to Cedar City and went to a Family Festival with Nana, Grandad, and Brooke's cute family.

We met up with the Kjars in Ogden to go to the Treehouse Museum. Other than finding out that Ian was going commando at lunchtime (he explained it was faster to get dressed without underwear), we had a great day.

Here is everyone waiting for the play.

Ian loudly volunteered himself to be the Dragon King (you could tell they were looking for an older kid, but they were good sports to let him do it) and Rachel was lucky enough to be the queen.

Ian delivered his lines really well and it was fun to see all of the kids on stage.

The thing that probably held Ian's attention the longest on this visit was this game of chess that Kate and he played. At one point an older kid was trying to teach them the real rules, but they were pretty content to play their way for about 20 minutes.

Rachel's favorite part this visit was the laboratory with the microscope.
