Spooky!

We had a fantastic Halloween that seemed to stretch longer than ever before, but it was still a lot of fun. Hanging over our heads was a very loose front tooth. Bridget observed Rachel letting Ian wiggle it on the tramp for quite some time.
We had lots of Halloween fun at school starting with cute Ian's preschool party where they got to practice trick-or-treating and sing their awesome pumpkin songs for great neighbors. Then we had Rachel's fun Halloween parade and party at her school. Here is our witch all ready for showtime.
Ian needed some face paint for the parade too and here is our puppy with a cat pumpkin at the school.

We crashed Grandma's carnival at her church (she is in the Young Women's presidency and they hosted this great carnival). Josie was excited to get her face painted with a pumpkin since up until the actual Halloween day she insisted on dressing like the orange vegetable.

The big day finally arrived and Rachel had it off from school (teacher prep day), so we were all able to visit Dad for the Governor's Halloween party.
There was a fire alarm so the photographer snagged this group picture outside. Things I love about this: real firefighters, our kids right by the main man, and Mrs. Herbert as Jesse. Okay, mostly Mrs. Herbert as Jesse.
The kids were given fun books and then we went trick-or-treating through the offices. In this picture our children are either facing away from the camera, checking out their goodies, or have just walked out of the frame.
The Lieutenant Governor's grandson happened to dress as Mickey, and we couldn't resist taking these pictures.

Justin saved the day by extracting Rachel's loose tooth with some vice-grips...
and we headed out trick-or-treating with our cute neighbor Allysa, whom the kids adore.
Trick-or-treat! Our funny next door neighbor terrified the older kids later in the evening by wearing a black wig and crazy clothes and back lighting himself in the driveway with a chainsaw! Needless to say we got some pretty wide-eyed trick-or-treaters at our home after they'd see that.
Fun Payton was able to join the festivities a little later and they all enjoyed the effects of the sugar setting in.
Delicious! Yes, the mess on the table was for making donuts. We figure we might as well go all out, right? We hope that everyone had a great weekend!
