Moving October

Phew!  Between the crazy election season, moving, and Halloween, October was kind of a crazy month!  We made it through with lots of fun to boot.

We headed to Gardner Village ("Witchy-poo") with Grandma on a beautiful day.  We loved the new salon they added.

Rachel was pretty excited to buy herself a deathly hallows.

Rachel worked so hard to finish her Faith in God book before we moved wards.  We love Bishop Porter and he was so kind in his interview and recognizing her in church.

Bridget finished her Personal Progress for Young Women's in February and was given her medallion on the last day of our ward.

 The leaves were beautiful this year.

 Andy had a couple of previews of his Iron Man costume.

 Ian grew a crazy carrot in his garden.

 We soaked up the sun at the park and the girls were crazy like usual.

 Rachel may or may not have been temporarily stuck like this for a while.

Andy found an old cross-stitch Grandma had done for Justin that he calls his "Minecraft Dinosaur" and has hung in a prominent position in the new room.

 We found awesome gems like Ian's writing down the kissing song.

 These movers totally saved us!  It took a whole semi truck to fit in all of our stuff, plus several van loads the next day.

 We pulled out the stops for crazy hair day for this cute little cupcake.

 These two are crazy (and their hair is also).

Elaine's book, Like Magic, came out and she was so kind to recognize these two in her acknowledgements because we had read a draft for her.  It is such a sweet book!

Moving is a total pain.

 We headed to the pumpkin patch on a beautiful day.

 We needed to make some cookies and this boy loves to "help".

 Rachel pulled out the stops with some great cupcakes for the Cupcake Wars in Activity Days.

 Andy helped Bridget practice.

 Ian had a really fun emergency preparedness night.

 Andy was pretty excited about it.

 Sweet Summer was blessed and we snapped a picture with the girls.

 These two are adorable!

 And there were cookie dough cupcakes to boot.

 We signed on our new house and this boy was such a great helper.

 Rachel and Ian had a really fun piano recital to a silent film by Buster Keaton.  It was so much fun.

 Did we mention moving is a pain?

 We got some decorations up might quickly though.

 Justin and Rachel took a break to go to see the national women's soccer team compete at the Real stadium.  They had a blast.

 We headed to the Governor's Halloween party and had a lot of fun.

 Bridget helped in Josie's class with pumpkin math.

 And then put together quite the fun scavenger hunt for these crazies.

 It was finally the big day!

 Rachel went trick-or-treating with these fun girls.

 And the rest of us met up with Payton, Austin, and Parker.

 Link, Merida, fortune teller, and Iron Man were ready for fun!

 That Merida hair was a mess!

It was such a fun Halloween and a great end to a busy month!
