May Flowers and lot of other things too

The month of May hits and it is kind of insanity around here with the end of school, dance, piano, and school performances, and fun family visits.

 Josie rocked her outfit choices everyday in 1st grade.

 Ian and Justin worked super hard on his pinewood derby car this year.  We found out later that the lubricant he used for the wheels had horrible reviews and actually slowed down cars - yikes.  So no luck with winning this time, but he learned a lot.

 But Ian did earn  his wolf and we are really proud for his hard work for that.

 Andy rocked the park and rocked the tractor supply hat.

 Andy was teaching his friend Levi all about saying "cheers" in Gaelic after Grandad's lesson.

 Lots of softball games for the girls.  This was at the end of one that rained the whole game.

 A fun paint night for Young Women's with her sweet friend Emily.

 This girl really wanted to be the student government representative for Stewart Elementary this year (going into junior high).  She really worked on her essay and interview preparation and ended up doing an amazing job and getting the position!  The principal told us that she was so composed during the interview and really knew her stuff.  We're excited for what this brings this girl in 7th grade.

 Ian has the most amazing bed head.

 Andy loved gymnastics this year.

 He had a fun time at Kangaroo Zoo for his friend's Walker's birthday party.

 Bubbles in the bath are always hilarious.

 Kieran (Grandad's brother) visited from Ireland.  We had a great time showing him around for a couple of days.

 He loves trucks and cars so we headed to the safe kids fair.  These guys got a turn shooting a fire hose.

 And being blurs on the bouncy slide.

 It was so good to see sweet Kieran!

 This cute girl had her ballet recital practice and the cowboy boots inside were the best.

 Rachel worked really hard for the Monster Concert performance at the U.  She played a piece arranged by the movie composer from Wall-e.  They did a great job.

 It was fun to have Nana and Grandad visit with Kieran.

 Rachel is getting everyone's hand-me-downs these days.  Here she is wearing one of Suzy's cute old dresses.

 Andy got to go on a fieldtrip to the zoo with Levi.

 We worked really hard in the yard and got the gardens in in one weekend (had to prep the soil, etc).  Ian's garden turned out great.

 Rachel was a great gardener.

 Mother's Day was a good one.  Bridget loved the cards and pictures.  This was one of her favorites from Josie.

 These kids are goofy.

 We headed to the chalk art festival and had a blast.

 Rachel and Ian had their piano recital in preparation for the Royal Conservatory test.

 Ian booked it out afterwards so we got his picture at home.

 We have the cutest lawn mowers.

 This girl did a great job in her recital as a red squirrel.

 We loved her sweet class assistant.

 And we got a picture with her neighborhood friend Morgan.

 Right after the recital we headed to get her hair cut and she was able to cut enough off to donate!

 Lots more softball with the best coach around.

 Justin surprised Ian's class as the Mystery Reader.

 These three played pirate and everything else  under the sun.

Andy did a great job at his end of year show.

 Bridget headed to the PTA convention with Trisha and Jami.  She is pretty nervous but is the new president-elect for Stewart.

 The warm weather got this kid back on the court for his class.

 And Josie had her first class with Kassia and Brady.

 Rachel had a great softball season.

 So did Josie.  Justin did such a great job as their coach.

 The kids got some pictures when they were at the Libby Gardner Hall for their piano testing.  Rachel and Ian both did well and passed with honors!

This guy had to be on the news answering questions about the special election that will need to be held for the Congressperson who resigned mid-term.

 They had a little fun together on the same team.

 Justin headed down to Moab for some on-sight election help.

Justin had the great opportunity of heading to NYC to do a Spartan stadium race with Cory.  They had a great time.

 They got in a Yankees game and then

 Justin hit up some of the sights.

 Sawyer is getting so big!

 For Mother's Day the ward there knows how to do it right!

 He got to go to the top floor of the Empire State Building.

This girl loves coloring and all things art.  She has taken a shining to this Utah Capitol coloring book so Justin took this picture for the artist of the book.  He was so kind and sent the kids an autographed copy of his maze book!
