This has been a great week of just being with our family after Justin's stint in China. We know it's hard to believe, but Rachel gets even more dramatic everyday. In this picture she woke up from her nap claiming to have "aches in her legs" (a phrase borrowed from one of her books), so Justin bandaged her up. She was really happy before this picture, but she posed for the camera with her sad face.
She has been spending every possible minute outside lately. When she can't convince us to go to the park, she has been playing on our little deck. She rides her bike, colors pictures, eats popsicles, and blows bubbles back there. This week she asked Bridget if she could walk to the park by herself and when the response was no, she laid on her stomach on the deck with her chin resting on her hands saying, "Mom just doesn't understand me." It was VERY dramatic to say the least. She realized that we thought this was pretty funny and has since retreated to corners to say similar lines.
Rachel is also quite the dancer. Here are a few in-action shots of her moves (she's aspiring to be Ginger Rogers, look at the high-heels). The best part about her dances are the dramatic pauses she takes in poses such as this. She's headed for stardom.
