Happy (pre)Halloween!

This week we were busy celebrating Halloween early (you might as well stretch out the fun, right?). We decorated pumpkins, made and ate way too many caramel apples, and read fun spooky books. Last night we topped it off by going to our church Fall Festival. It was so much fun! Our little Dorothy was ecstatic, as you can see in these pictures. Our little lion wasn't quite so thrilled at the actual event, but he certainly looked adorable!

After last year's trick-or-treating fiasco, we decided to put some practice time in so that she didn't think that we were leaving her at the homes we were visiting. Here she is demonstrating her skills on our door. Also, here are our jack-o-lanterns. There isn't a close up because by the time we thought to take a picture outside the ants had already made a permanent home in Bridget's now-eroded pumpkin.

Here is a picture at the party. One of the very exciting things about this trick-or-treating experience is one of the rooms (the classrooms were all decorated and people were giving out candy in them) had someone giving out beanie babies. Rachel picked this cute dog that not only resembles Toto, but more importantly reminds her of Justin's family dog Sadie. Her "Sadie" is now living as her constant companion.

Other than Halloween fun, Justin is busy with school and Bridget was panicking over a very difficult choir piece that she had to play the piano for this Sunday. Thankfully, the song is over and after Bridget was walking back to the bench after the piece, Rachel exclaimed, "great job, Mom! We knew you were nervous!"
