4th of July

For the 4th of July we headed down to Cedar City to spend time with Nana and Grandad. From Grandad's trip to Ireland, he brought Justin and the kids back hurling sticks which have turned out to be a huge hit. Here is Ian showing some diversity by carrying the hurling stick, playing with the soccer ball, and wearing a Twins baseball outfit.

We had fun watching the parade and a major attraction was the balloons that kept floating up.

After the parade we headed to the city park and Rachel had a blast in the bouncy toys.

And, of course, we topped the day off with fireworks. Ian was exhausted, so the boys stayed home, but Rachel loved the excitement and brought along her new friend, "Rachel Flower Penguin Lee" (or stuffed penguin). Thanks for the cute present, Brian!

We were also able to head up to the cabin on beautiful Cedar mountain. There was a ton to see and Rachel and Justin went right off to explore.

On the way home Justin showed us his shepherding skills by herding a stray lamb back into the pasture. Rachel was very excited about the event and we now know that if grad school doesn't work out we'll always have this as a career option.
Or maybe nature acrobatics?

The best part of the trip was just spending time with family. Here's Rachel and Grandad...

We also were able to go to a great play at the Shakespearean Festival and have a fun breakfast with Elaine and Summer and their families. It was so fun to see everyone! Thanks for the fun trip!
