Festival Days

One of the hazards of having an older sister is pictures like this. This week he came barrelling down the hall with this stylish necklace and stroller. He loves the stroller and will give anything from balls to books walks around the house.
It's pretty adorable blackmail material.

Farmington has a fun Festival Days parade and we headed off to see the fun. It was a great parade and the kids had a blast. They not only threw out candy, but we got 4 stuffed animals as well. Despite the above pictures, Ian is all boy and was SO excited about the firetrucks and tractors. He kept waving at the tractors and "talking" to Grandma about the sights.
Enjoying the parade with his bottle and new puppy.
And, of course, Rachel loved the parade too and loved running around behind our spot with her fun Dad.
Even though Ian was pretty tired, we couldn't pass up a matching Grandpa/grand kid shot.
We were also able to go to This is the Place state park and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Salt Lake. They had so much to do and we really only scratched the surface in the morning we were there. Here Rachel is having a pony ride at the petting zoo.
We've been wanting to visit all summer and it was icing on the cake that our old neighbors volunteer there one day a week. They were adorable pioneers and Rachel had a blast having Eli show us the sights. Here's Emily, Sarah, Eli, and Rachel on one of the two trains we took that day.
At the petting zoo the peacocks were really noisy and startled the kids. Here they are reenacting their surprise.
Ian was not up for photo ops and even though we tried on quite a few hats at the Z.C.M.I., he wanted none of it.
They have a great play town set up and here are the kids playing at the store.
It was such a fun day and we hope to go back again soon. Thanks Emily, it was great to see you guys!
