All-Stars and Pioneers

As usual, we're way behind in getting pictures up. But, if you check back in the next few days you'll see that we've been a little busy this last part of the summer. This picture is Rachel's second attempt at sparklers. Due to a little burn she got from grabbing the burning part (yes, we'd given her some significant instructions on what to do and what not to do with sparklers), she came up with the great idea of doing it with a glove on her hand. Smart girl.
Here are our baseball kids all decked out for the All-Star game party. As usual, the Lees went all out with a lot of delicious food. Yummy!
For Bountiful Handcart Days Bridget ran a 5K. Very slow and steady was her motto and it was a ton of fun. Hopefully there will be a few longer races soon.
Rachel is obsessed with "puddle jumping" and it is often a favorite name of her stuffed animals. Here's our girl showing off her skills.
We finally got Ian decked out in his swimsuit for a sprinkler run.
He wasn't sure at first, but by the time he had a bottle in hand it was a definite hit.

After getting soaked in the sprinklers, Justin joined the kids in a bath that Rachel will never forget.
For the 24th of July (Pioneer Day) we opted to do some fireworks at home so that we could get Rachel to sleep at a decent time. Here's the crowd enjoying Justin's little show.

Everyone forgot about Pioneer Day here in California. And we aren't allowed to have sparklers! Good job on your 5K. I need to sign up for something. (The last race I ran was the Stake Relief Society Fun Run. Whoo-hoo!)
