Rachel has now completed her first season of her sport of choice - soccer. We tried to get some in-action footage, but as you can imagine, there is not a whole lot going on in three and four-year-old soccer. For our team it was mostly a lot of running out to talk to parents and laying on the ground. But, the kids had a really good time and it was a great experience for Rachel to attempt to listen to a coach and ref. We did find out that Rachel is a very fast runner and in the end, probably not the "soccer super star" that she dubbed herself (we had to convince her not to wear her super hero cape to the games). Not that she couldn't do it, she just wasn't too into the actual playing of the sport. Her team name was "Eruption" and that lent itself to many exciting conversations about players spilling like lava into the game and erupting into the goal. For a volcano-obsessed girl, she couldn't have been more thrilled.
