He's Done with Year One!

Justin is halfway done with grad school part two and we're so proud of how well he did. We have a couple of weeks off and then he's headed down to the U for a 6 week intensive Arabic program. Rachel just finished a soccer season and Justin subbed one night for a sick coach. She was thrilled to have him in the middle of the 3 and 4-year-old soccer mayhem.

To celebrate, we headed down to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden. It was our first trip and we were very impressed. Rachel was in heaven with tons of dress up clothes and wonderful things to play with and Ian loved the blocks, musical instruments, and a great castle set. We definitely plan on going back this summer. Here are some of the fun things there...

Rachel in the British cottage.

President Obama was kind enough to lend Ian his desk. What me, a future president?
Look how hard our boy is studying.
We then headed to Farmington to see family. Payton and Ian had fun with a little t-ball.

The next day we had a great visit from Nana and went to the Natural History Museum. The hands-on dinosaur section was a hit and here Ian is showing off his dinosaur roar.

They had a fun special exhibit on frogs.
Rachel is showing off her favorite blue tree frog.

There is a real smile!

Ian was fascinated with a wildlife display and kept pushing the light for the bear.
Look at that concentration.
Nana topped off a really fun visit by spoiling the kids with perfect rain outfits. Rachel's is a strawberry and she couldn't have been more excited to try it out (aka get TOTALLY soaked in the puddles).
Ian's was a cute little firefighter. He's even prepared with a snack.
Here is the hero testing out the water. Thank you everyone for the fun weekend!
