Around here we're just waiting for quite a few things within the next couple of weeks: Rachel and Justin starting school, Rachel's gymnastics to start, and of course a baby to hopefully make an appearance any day now. We've mostly just been enjoying the last few weeks of summer with friends and some great new neighbors that are moving here. One day Rachel decided to try on all of her jewelery at one time and this was her finished product.
On a trip down to Farmington Payton and Rachel decided to switch shades. We were also lucky enough to see the Blackhams on this trip before their big move overseas.
Here is Ian with Rachel's glasses.One day we were playing Candyland and Bridget looked over to see a cross-eyed Ian staring back. She was pretty sure he was having a seizure, until he started laughing and said, "that funny?" He now tries to do his "crazy eyes" every once in a while to make Rachel laugh. We tried to get a picture of the cross-eyes, but instead got a series of "special" looks from our boy...
Rachel has some really fun teachers in her primary and even though the group of kids is small, they do a great job with their lessons. Last week was particularly special because they made a "temple" for the kids to go inside.
They even got their own recommend (which the Bishop signed after he talked to them about how important the temple is). We were impressed with how much Rachel learned and are grateful for good teachers.
One day it was particularly quiet during quiet time and so Justin went in to check on Rachel and this is what he found! Yes this is ink stamped from a stamp pad that is approximately an inch squared. He was shocked at first and then couldn't stop laughing.
She was so sad when she woke up and we reminded her how hard it is to get ink off (when she got it on her hands the last time it was there for almost a week). We tried some trusty Internet advice and applied: rubbing alcohol, toothpaste, vinegar, body oil, olive oil, and baby wipes. None of these worked very well and that night she had to make a blue appearance at a BBQ with friends. She was pretty embarrassed and so Justin told her to tell people that she was just cheering for the Aggies. That night for her bath we gave it one more try with Target baby wash and it totally came off. I guess we should have just got with the soap in the first place.
We had a free afternoon with good weather and decided to head up to Bear Lake before it got too cold. The kids were both in heaven digging in the sand and wading in the water.
Where did our chubby little boy go - look at those ribs. We promise we try to make him eat!
And what would a trip to Bear Lake be without shakes and/or ice cream? (Okay, what would any Lee family activity be without ice cream?). Here is Ian with his first taste of Superman ice cream showing off his super-pose.

Blue is a good color for Rachel! LOL!! Hopefully she learned her lesson and will be staying away from the ink.
You guys always do fun things. Hope this baby comes soon! Can't wait to see her!
