Mostly Smiles

We have some official smiles from Josie! She just keeps getting cuter and has started to get really excited when people talk and sing to her. It has become a favorite sibling game to try and get Josie to smile. You really couldn't preform for a more adorable audience.

Rachel is as wacky as ever and she came home from preschool one day with this fun birthday hat they made while they were learning about "special days". However, she was pretty convinced that someone else needed to wear it too.
We're not so sure if it made the day special for her little sister.
We have been really lucky with some beautiful weather lately and one morning the kids took the opportunity to play with some bubbles.

One day Rachel came out of her room with her favorite doll tied on her back like this (with an Ace bandage). We were kind of impressed with her motherly instincts and then we noticed the pirate hook that was right above her child's head.
Ian is just plain sick of his cast and now that it is removable (we can take it off for him to sleep with this week!) he thinks it always needs to come off. During one quiet time Bridget walked by the door to see all of the velcro strips shoved underneath. He is now taking medical matters into his own hands.
This week we had to make some caramel apples to get into the fall swing of things. While Rachel and Ian were unwrapping the caramels, Rachel said, "lets pretend like we're in a factory!" It made us laugh pretty hard because she thought it was the funnest thing ever and we could only think of child labor. Don't they look like they're having fun in their "factory"?
Work, work, work.
Ian loves the car seat and loves to sit in it and snap/unsnap all of the buckles. Baby stuff is so entertaining.
Every once in a while Rachel plans a trip to the "beach" (towel in the living room with suitcase, books, sunglasses, goggles, and of course a swimsuit). This day she decided that Josie could come along on the trip.

How much are you paying your kids to work in the factory?
