January Excitement

Even though it's cold outside, things keep moving along here in Logan. Josie has had a big week with her first roll over (from back to tummy) and her first tooth breaking through!

She mostly just gets on her side like this and can scoot herself around in a circle.

Of course, everyone had to join her for a picture.

We also have a new trick to our circus act...

Ian is such a funny little boy and one day he made a little "nest" for himself.

We went to Farmington for a few very exciting events. The first was going to a Utah gymnastics meet with Grandpa. After reviewing this picture, we'll probably all be too scared to visit him again, but this evening was really fun. Rachel's favorite event was the bars.

The next morning we went to the KUED "Super Reader" party at the Utah State Fairgrounds. It was seriously jammed-packed with fun things and lots of excited kids. Ian was enthralled with the characters roaming around. His favorite was "Buddy" from Dinosaur Train, but none of us wanted to wait in the long line to meet him personally. We did, however, nab a shot with one of our favorite cats.

They had fun snacks, games, and even a great magic show! Here Rachel and Justin are enjoying the pretty amazing magic. Rachel's favorite part was when he turned a stuffed kangaroo into a real baby kangaroo - pretty impressive.

Then Ian got a picture with a random colorful bird.

And they both got their faces painted. Rachel got the very unique pink T-Rex.

And Ian chose a baseball.

That night Justin and Ian went to support Parker in his football game. They had a great time and Ian was so excited to tackle the practice equipment with Payton.

This is one of our favorite baby dresses that is from Bridget's Aunt Helen. It looks so pretty on our little girl.

Despite all of those exciting events, we are the most thrilled to announce the birth of our new niece/cousin Alice Lorraine Lee (Cory and Kristen's little girl). She is beautiful and is doing very well.

We were delighted to finally be able to visit a new baby in the hospital!

Rachel really couldn't be happier to have a little girl cousin. She has grand plans for matching "triplet" dresses with her and Josie.

In other news, our trip down south did had a sad conclusion - we had to leave Justin there for his internship with the Utah State Legislature with Senator Hillyard. He is already having some amazing experiences and has been able to meet some great people, some of which include, our Governor, all the other legislators, and Elder Anderson from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles (they were able to talk about both serving missions in France). We miss him so much in Logan, but know this is going to be a really good opportunity and luckily we still get to see him on the weekends!
