This week the cold has produced some beautiful trees around Logan. Rachel and Ian get so excited when we drive around and they can spot the "fairy dust" on the trees.

The big event this week was Justin's birthday. We celebrated with sushi and lime pie and the kids gave him these creative gifts. From Rachel: a Lite Brite picture of a birthday cake and a Handy Manny drawing ("because Dad likes to fix stuff"). From Ian: a juice box - because who doesn't like a little juice on their big day?
Josie keeps getting lots of attention from her siblings. They like to take care of her and try to make her laugh...
and they request lots of pictures with her when she's on the floor.
All of this attention wears out our little girl so much that one night she fell asleep on the couch.
You may be wondering what the new tennis fashions are this season. Here Ian is off to "play tennis".
And here is the boy as a scantily-clad cowboy. Yes, Rachel is wearing a swimsuit in the dead of winter. As you may have noticed, we have very low standards for reasonable clothes around here.
The sad event of the week? We're letting Ian's hair grown out on top and Bridget attempted to trim around the ears. Ear number one is so sad looking and reminds her of little boys in the 80's with steps shaved into the side of their hair.
At least the learning curve was pretty quick and the other side looks normal. Poor kid, hopefully his tennis and cowboy buddies won't make fun of his new 'do.

I remember the first time I tried to cut Seth's hair. DISASTER! I am glad you caught on quicker than I did!

Oh, Bridget, that's pretty funny. Payton had one of those kind of hair cuts, but luckily he is so blonde you couldn't tell unless you looked closely.
