New Year Adventures

We have been loving the rest of Justin's break before he starts his internship in Salt Lake in a couple of weeks (for the legislature with Senator Hillyard). There has been lots of fun times with Dad and the kids love going on "adventures" with him. They have been to the rainforest, jungle, and many other exotic places. Here they are geared up for some wild times in the cinder block forest.

One of Rachel's favorite things to do is to "go to the beach." This involves packing her suitcase with essentials like books, shades, and a towel. All Ian needs is is puppy.
Josie is now officially in training for the Lee family circus with her newest balancing trick. She loves sitting on Justin's hand and can sit for almost a full minute. The best is her huge grins the whole time. Quite the performer.
For New Year's we headed down to Farmington to spend time with the whole family. We had to hit the hills for some fun sledding with uncles. Rachel was fearless and kept trying to keep up with the big boys.
Ian loves to go at his own pace and kept saying, "I've got it," as he scoots very slowly down the hills by himself.
Uncle Parker even made it down the hill on a sled snowboard style.
And of course, you couldn't have New Years with our family without a midnight snow run. This is this year's participants (Rachel went piggyback with Justin). For the record, Ian was asleep and Rachel was resting before twelve, but they must have felt the excitement mounting and woke up for the big event. Note to Bridget: maybe some sunless tanning should be included in the list of New Year's resolutions.

Josie had her 4 month check this week and is doing very well. She is our tiniest baby by far weighing 11lbs16 (6%), 23 in (7%), and 40.5 cm head (30%). She was adorable with our doctor and officially broke her mothers heart when she was doing her sweetest smile at the nurse right before she got poked with her immunizations. But, she's a trooper and is back to her darling self.

That's the first big smile we've seen for Josie. How fun.

Okay, that first picture made me die of laughter. So serious. Except for Ian.

What a fun family you guys are. The midnight snow run sounds like a great tradition!

How fun! Can you tell Rachel that we'll take her to the real beach if she'll come visit us?!
