Josie loves to dress up and here was an outfit she came up with one day.
One day kids decided to play cowboys and cowgirls and so they tied all of their horses to the corral. It was particularly funny because Rachel used a knot she had read about and was pretty excited.
We decided to brave an overnight camp out and went up to Fort Buenaventura in Ogden (yes we were mocked by neighbors, but it was close and had canoes - so what more could you want?). Here the kids were sitting waiting for their canoes.
We were a little nervous about if kids would stay seated, but they surprised us and did great! And for the record, Justin has some mad canoe skills and we beat people in races all over the place.
Payton didn't love the canoe, but we loved beating these guys.
Ian was delighted to have access to all of the sugar drinks he could handle. At one point we found him enjoying two at a time.

Yummy! We had a great time and for the record we're glad that we camped so close because we couldn't get Josie to sleep in the tent and Bridget had to bring her home at 10:00 at night so everyone could sleep. Our chipper girl rejoined everyone at 8:30 the next morning.
Swimming lessons have started and we've been busy with those on the weekdays. The best part about the Farmington pool is the kids can play at the splash pad after their lessons.
Josie's favorite pastime is avoiding the water except for with her hands at this little fellow's mouth.
Other summer activities include being the "goodist spy's evr" and
pretending the calculator is a phone.We have also been enjoying songs from all of the kids. We captured one of Ian singing in the driveway on his bike - which is his all time favorite summer activity.
