Summer Wrap Up

In no particular order, here are the happenings in August:
Loving dogs comes in these kids' genes.  Here is Justin and his first dog.  Bridget gets reminders daily that we should be getting a dog.
We loved swimming this summer.  Look at this brave Andy on the slide.
Barnes and Noble had a great summer reading program with the prize of letting the kids' choose a new book.

We headed to the Pioneer Day float preview party.
And Rachel lost a tooth there!
For some reason this picture was scanned in of when Bridget and Justin were dating.
There is nothing cuter than potty-training Andy the lion.
We finished Rachel's room with this fun book wall.
We had a great 24th with lots of family swim time and sparklers at the end of the night.

Yummy toy cars/airplanes were evidently on the menu for lunch.
We had a fun hike up to Farmington Pond with cousins.  Ian even ended up being happy at the end, we promise!

We have some mighty cute cousins.
Our peach tree produced some yummy fruit this year for the first time!
Cute Josie keeps trying to teach herself math.  Here she wrote (with some reversals):  16+11=27.  Not too shabby!
 We had a fun read-a-thon.

The Bountiful Park upped its game with this great climbing toy.

Josie ran a little fever and was so tired she fell asleep in the tub.  Sad and creepy!
We have loved having kid gardens this year and it has been fun to see what they planted.
Here is Josie's from the top.
Sweet Josie set the table one night and made it fancy with notes on napkins.
We went to the Clive Romney Band performance and Rachel and her friend Jaime were pulled up to help with rhythm on one song.

Buy and Sell Days are a continual source of awesomeness.  Here was one of the receipts.
We got the jungle gym all put together and are working on getting a path and all the weeds covered.  Slow and steady, right?
And it doubles as a fort!
Just making snowflakes in the summer.
Cute Josie played Oreos and Chocolate in a summer recital at Becca's and did a great job being first on the program.
 We love Becca!
These cute big girls put on a end of summer carnival for these kids.  They made punch necklaces with all the activities and it was a lot of fun.

This boy has loved summer reading!
Rachel and Bridget went to Timp Caves for a last date before school.

This Ranger was so sweet to Rachel and let her help push light buttons and help a little.  On the way down Rachel was saying she'd love this job.

Josie and Justin (and Ian a couple of days before) went mini golfing:

Josie and Andy can keep entertained with fun things like storm drains for a solid 30 minutes.
And another 30 sitting on the tractor.
Whenever a camera is out this boy insist on a picture (and this girl insists on photobombing).
 Rachel dressed up this cutie.
 And Josie repaid the favor.
We headed to Hyrum for a work party for Justin's office and had a lot of fun.
 Josie lost her first tooth!
Our sweet neighbor Hanna Mae loves Josie and the feeling is mutual.  She spoiled this girl with a darling purse filled with fun activities.
Kristen out did herself with fun "Danger Begins With Fun" shirts for the cousins.  This was a favorite family saying of Shirley's that was begging to be on a kid shirt.

Grandpa is always a great sport at the pool.
Sweet Nana spoiled Rachel was some great cowgirl boots for the state fair.
And Grandad was so sweet to read lots and lots of books to Andy.
 More recital pictures...

Grandad taught Ian quite a few new moves.
Josie and Ian did a fun gymnastics class this summer and Nana took some great pictures of their last class.

Ian's primary teacher sent us this one.  He was helping with a pioneer game and just plain looking awesome.
