Bridget's parents are so generous and invited our lucky Rachel to head down to Cedar City with them for a week this summer to enjoy all the fun down there.
They let her practice her hand at photography. Not too shabby!
And there were lots of rainbows this week (we saw maybe 10 on the way down to pick her up).
The kids played floor hockey with the fun MacNaughtan kids in their basement that is getting finished.
And Grandad won the patience award for teaching this little one about chess.
But, before we came to get her, Rachel had a blast with Grandad and Nana. The scenery never disappoints in Cedar City.
She even met Mary Poppins from the Shakespeare Festival!
And saw one of the beautiful tapestries at SUU that was donated by Grandma Nelson.
They were right at the finish line for the Tour of Utah.
And saw this incredible double rainbow!
Andy started learning about pickleball from Grandad and amazingly didn't damage anything in their house.
These three had a lot of fun hiking and seeing these animals up the canyon.
Probably the highlight for Rachel was a backstage tour of the incredible new outdoor theater.
And she was able to see the new Southern Utah Art Museum also.
They thought it was funny that they were drinking Italian soda, in the Pastry Pub, with an American flag, and about 5 other nationalities represented.
The book she is holding is Ally Condie's new one about Cedar City. She loved reading this sweet story centered around the SUU campus/Festival while she was there. The famous turkey vultures from Bridget's childhood home even play a significant role in this sweet story. This girl is growing up way too fast!
Well, maybe not :) . Thanks so much Nana and Grandad for an incredible week she will always remember!
