Cute Kids

We've been having a ton of fun lately enjoying the beautiful Utah spring. Bridget and the kids headed to Temple Square to check out the gorgeous flowers and the fun activities for families. This was the best shot of both of them. Ian is a little obsessed with the way grass feels, so why would he be bothered to look at his mom or the flowers? They're still pretty cute, though.
The tulips were not the only exciting thing on the square. Rachel loved this "balance beam" and put some serious practice time in. Thankfully, we didn't have any accidents so the sister missionaries didn't have to get an ambulance for our three-year-old.
Rachel loves flowers and she kept asking about all of the different kinds. She would have been happy looking at the beautiful gardens all day.

For anyone who hasn't had a chance to check out the Church History Museum, it is one of our favorite places in Salt Lake. Here, Rachel is working on her General Conference talk.
They have a fantastic kids area that has the theme "I am a Child of God." They had baby dolls to dress and check at the "nursery" in the "hospital". And, they had incredible activities about General Conference, Jesus, the tree of life, and temples. This morning we had the whole thing to ourselves and so here they are decorating the stain glass on the side of a temple display. It was quite a hit and leaving all of this fun was a tad traumatic for Ian.

We continued the fun with a carnival at Keriel's school (Kassia's little sister who Rachel adores). Rachel's bravery continues to amaze us. After going with Keriel the first time, she soloed down this HUGE inflatable slide that big kids were going down together. Our little girl has no fear!
Here are Keriel, Kassia, and Rachel at the carnival. The other highlights were a fishing game, bouncy castle, and train. Needless to say, it was extremely exciting for our little princess (she's even got her balloon crown).

We also got to the zoo with Bridget's cousin Audrey and her cute baby Sophie. We're not sure why metal animals are always they best, but here's Rachel on the tigers.
The playground at the zoo was definitely the best part this trip and Rachel and Ian both loved being outside in the sunshine.
