Eight and Counting

This week Justin and Bridget celebrated their 8th anniversary. Even though it felt really busy with lots of activities and a rapidly approaching end-of-semester, it was fun to remember the big day and how quickly eight years has gone by. Here's a little blast for the past of the big day (definitely blow up the group shot to check out how much our brothers have changed).

Ian continues to be our little daredevil and really thinks he's as big as Rachel. Without fear, our boy plummets down slides, climbs up ladders, and swings in the big kids swings. Don't worry, Bridget has plenty of fear for the two of them. This is at Lundstrom Park, one of our favorite Logan spots so far.

One of the hair blogs that Bridget loves is Girly Do's . They had a fun contest where kids could do the parents' hair for possible prizes. Rachel had a blast doing this with Ian as her assistant and we'll definitely do it again, even though we sadly didn't win any prize this week. Eight and counting humiliating things Bridget does for the kids? Lets face it, it's way more than eight by this point.

It was also a good excuse for Bridget to straighten her hair for the first time since we moved here. Lazy, we know.

For the actual anniversary Rob and Suzy came up to watch the kids and we took off to hike to the Wind Caves in Logan Canyon. It was a clear, beautiful day and a great hike. Here are some of the views from the big cave at the end.

After the hike we headed off for a delicious dinner at Le Nonne's. It was such a great little Italian restaurant with live music and delicious food. We definitely recommend it to anyone who is visiting Logan.

Some other activities this week included a Books and Buddies event that was all about colors and going to Logan High School to observe the orchestra for our preschool lesson about music. For the orchestra the kids were surprisingly observant and quiet and they really enjoyed heading off to the "big kid" school. One of our friends had the great idea of getting a treat afterwards and here are the kids enjoying their first ever Hostess delicacies. Everyone needs a treat after a concert, right?

Rachel has long since given up naps during the day, but every once in a while they sneak in and severely mess up the schedule. One day she had a nap this week and we knew she'd be up until 10:00, so Justin took her out for a late-night workout. They ran around campus bundled up and having a great time. She is one tough girl!
