Thankfulness

Bridget was gone for an orchestra concert one night, and the rest of the family was enjoying a fun movie. When Justin and Rachel realized that Ian was being a little too quiet, this is what they found.

Of course, Rachel had to join the "bath time" fun.

It feels like things get pretty busy around here, but Rachel seemed particularly exhausted one day and fell asleep on the couch despite Ian playing around her. He was pretty perplexed at this view he's never before seen of his sister and kept going over and asking what was going on. While he was doing this action he kept saying, "uh-oh?"

We were thankful to have a fun visit from Grandad and Nana for Thanksgiving. Rachel took Grandad right outside to show him our little playground.

Our big girl also accompanied her grandparents on a trip to the store where they shattered Bridget's myth that sitting on these non-moving rides is just as fun as when they move. Ahh, grandparents!

We also had a great time going swimming and relaxing at their hotel.

Goth kids loved to listen to extra stories from Nana and Grandad.

Bridget's Grandpa attended USU back in the 1930's and while he lived in Logan he loved eating at the Bluebird Restaurant. Since this was Nana's first visit to our new home, she made sure we checked out the nostalgic spot for a delicious lunch. Everyone had a great lunch, as evidenced my Rachel's ketchup-covered smile.

While Bridget and Nana were getting Thanksgiving dinner ready, Grandad entertained the troops.

Because we had some extra guests, we held dinner in the activity room of our complex and had a great time. In addition to Nana and Grandad, we had Justin's parents and Paul, Kate, and their children. We had tons of delicious food and desserts that everyone brought and it was a lot easier to host with so much help and delicious contributions. Thank you everyone!

Thanksgiving is the best!

While Nana was still here we were able to go to the Cache Valley Civic Ballet's production of the Nutcracker. Rachel was so excited and very anxious for it to begin (as you can see in this picture). Her favorite dancers were those in the Spanish song and we were amazed by how well she did during the long production.

After a busy week, Rachel wanted to show off her new trick for the camera.
