Three Cheers

Three cheers for Daddy being home in his break from school! We've stayed busy with Christmas festivities almost every night this week. And, during the day the kids have loved having extra Justin time. Rachel and Justin headed out for a date to a "fancy" restaurant (Olive Garden) and of course they had to dress up for the occasion. Rachel even wanted to wear a coat just like her Dad's. All reports indicate that she was very polite and had a great time.

A major find this week occurred when something reminded Justin of Captain Vegetable and he then proceeded to repeat the words to the Sesame Street character's song. The kids thought it was so funny, Justin looked it up on YouTube and our new classic-Sesame-Street-watching-addiction has begun.
In case some of you aren't lucky enough to remember the Captain - here is the new superhero around here (and you'll see why we're giving three cheers).
Rachel had some holes in her footed pajamas and wanted to cut them off. Here was the result - some stylish capris. Okay, maybe not so stylish, but for some reason she is thrilled with them.
One of the get-togethers we had this week was a Christmas party for our little preschool. The kids put on a fun little nativity (Rachel as an angel and Ian as a wise man/shepherd/not willing participant).
Ian would have none of his spectacular head gear and frankly wanted none of the nativity, but they were all very cute.

After the performance, the kids exchanged little gifts and made this great snowflake decoration. It was a really fun night and helped add to the building excitement around our home. We hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas this week!
