Puddles and Pirates

We have a fun new neighbor who loves photography and thought that our kids making a huge mess in some rain puddles provided the perfect opportunity for some shots. She got some great ones of their antics...

This was the first time we were ever able to get a bow to stay in a girl's hair for more than 5 minutes. It had to be documented.

Rachel was so excited to have Josie get in bed with her for the first time. Yes, Josie does have an alarming resemblance to Babydoll and has startled Bridget quite a few times.

Ian has quite some good dance moves. Here he is getting his "stop" ready for some dancing.

We had a fun ward activity to celebrate "National Speak Like a Pirate Day". Our kids were more than happy to pull out last year's costumes to get into the spirit of things.

Being a pirate isn't too bad - candy!

One of our neighbors is kind enough to regularly build a huge mountain of sand for the kids. It is always very excited and stays around for a few months.

Because of our almost-bald babies, we're used to people not being able to determine their gender right away. However, Justin took Josie out for a minute in this outfit and someone asked if she was a boy or a girl. I guess we're just destined to have confusing babies despite our best efforts to dress them appropriately.

Our kids were sick yet again this past week and Rachel got pretty bored of sitting around as a sick girl, so she decided to be "sick bunny Rachel". We hope that we're done with being ill and luckily Josie has mostly stayed in the clear.
