Whirlwind Family Fun

Things have been so busy lately with family fun - hence the lack of blog posts! Things began relatively calmly with crazy kid antics. Ian has decided that he loves mixing food. We would discourage this semi-disgusting habit, but he eats it afterward so we can't really complain.

Would anyone like some strawberry applesauce and fish crackers?
Our first big event was that Justin's youngest brother Brady came home from the Oakland, CA Spanish-speaking mission! We all waited patiently at the airport and the little boys could not get enough of the luggage claim turning around and around.
Who needs toys?
He made it safely and went straight to his mom for a huge hug.
The little boys were a tiny bit wary of this new-comer, but Rachel went straight to her Uncle. She loves to draw pictures and write letters and so instead of sending him one a day (which she would have done if she had her way), she made him a "treasure box" with a ton of stuff in it. She insisted on wrapping the finished product.
One happy girl to have her uncle back home safely!
It was so fun to have everyone back together and things got a little crazy with the full house. At one point Kelli got this picture of the cousins reading in the crib.
Later that week Bridget's parents came to Logan for Josie's baby blessing. We were able to have a little celebration for Grandad's birthday and it was fun to be together even though they had to travel in the snow to get here.
Rachel and Ian put Grandad's "scientist" skills to the test and had him make some great paper airplanes. Here is Ian's ready for takeoff.
Rachel has been making some "delicious" creations as well. Here she is with a kiwi slice wrapped in cheese on top of a cracker. Despite her pleading, we didn't try the specialty.
The next day was sweet Josie's big event. The blessing was absolutely beautiful and reminded us of the amazing little spirit that our daughter has been blessed with. We were overwhelmed with all of the family that was able to support us and we truly appreciate everyone who was able to come and missed those that couldn't. Here is Nana with our special little girl.
And Grandad too!

Our sweet, sweet, baby.
She looked absolutely adorable!

and set 2!
Here is our growing family at then end of a big day.

We had a fun lunch with all of our visitors. Thank you everyone for bringing food and coming to celebrate with us on Josie's big day!
