Since this might be the last of Justin's long Christmas breaks, we have been making sure to make the most of our time together. Rachel and Justin have been perfecting their circus tricks just in case we get no job offers in the spring.

And per the request of Rachel, aka "Snow Angel", there have been lots of snowball fights and sledding trips.

We also made time for some pretty fancy gingerbread decorating.

Ian alternated between decorating and eating.

And Josie was perplexed by all of the shenanigans.

Christmas Eve started off with our delicious feast of appetizers. Ian's request this year was french fries and so Justin got some small fries from quite a few fast-food places and we had a huge "fry compare" with our feast (surprisingly, Carl's Jr. won). Then we had our nativity starting out with the angel and the shepherd (she's holding up a star and the shepherd has a sword in this year's version).

Then the shepherd visited Mary and the baby. We love how much Rachel gets into this family tradition. We seriously can't make her laugh while she's in her Mary role.
It was pretty cute.

And then the wise man ran to give the baby Jesus his gift.

We then opened up some new pajamas and Rachel was ecstatic to find out that her and Josie had matching
pjs. We're sure that this is the first of many matching outfits for these two sisters.

Ian needed a picture with his baby sister too.

Here is the whole gang all cuddled up for our book reading.

Christmas morning was an absolute blast and both Ian and Rachel were delighted with their stockings and presents. Santa brought Ian a really fun race track and Rachel a vet set.

Look at that Christmas fun! We then had a delicious breakfast courtesy of Justin (crepes!) and just relaxed by playing with toys and watching fun movies.

Ian chose not to wear pants for the day. Who needs pants when you have a tool belt?

The next day Justin's parents came up and spoiled the kids even further by giving Rachel her dream doll - Fancy Nancy! Since the gift, Nancy has
accompanied Rachel pretty much everywhere (even to church). It is even more excited because Nancy and Josie are almost the same size, so Nancy's wardrobe has seemingly endless possibilities.

And Ian got a great
tool bench!

And our little Josie was initiated into the "silky blanket" club. Our baby is also growing up way too fast and is officially 4-months-old today. Thank you everyone for the great presents. We hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas!
