Josie is pretty convinced she should do everything her older siblings do and so she has begun helping "cook". Here she was before we made some delicious hummus. She was pretty excited about the whole thing.

Rachel wanted to take some pictures and she documented Josie's sweet dress up headband.

As this picture demonstrates, moving has not changed Rachel's desire to get filthy.

Josie is 18 months! And in our church that is one happy day for parents of wiggly toddlers because they get to go to nursery. Our others have had kind of a hard transition to being away from parents, but Josie took Justin's hand and walked herself right into the room, began playing with toys, and never looked back once. They said she did a great job and they just thought it was funny that she didn't look big enough to know how to play with everything but she was holding her own just fine. When Bridget picked her up and asked if she had fun she said "yes" and nodded her head vigorously. We hope that she is that excited to go next week too!

Ian continues to work on "projects" in his room and the other day he came up with this tower to blast off his rocket. It's hard to tell, but the funniest part is the sword (aka rocket runway) is balancing on the antenna of his walkie-talkie.

To blast off the rocket he hit the sword. Unfortunately, the results of the whole thing falling down were not what he'd hoped for.

Rachel and Ian had a winter recital last night and they both did a fantastic job. Rachel played "Sugar Cookies" and "The Thing That Lives Under my Bed" (scary material!). It was Ian's first recital and as hard as it is to believe based on this picture, he was absolutely adorable. He played the first half of Twinkle Variation A and while he played he quietly said the words "Mississippi hot dog" to himself to keep his rhythm.
