June Happenings

  

We have been having a lot of fun so far this summer and it has felt pretty busy despite our attempts to keep things relaxed.  Bridget was able to record a song with Kristen Morris that she wrote called Jupiter.  It is about the guitar she was given from her Great Grandfather and is very sweet and beautiful.  The picture with the headphones is the actual recording and the others are just shots of us together.  She wrote about it on her blog.  It was very fun!

 Luckily, we have had some great visitors like Kendra and her cute boys from our Minnesota days!

Rachel has also experienced her first major mother-mortification moment:  while Bridget and the kids were grocery shopping the car cart the kids were sitting in bumped into a huge display of plastic picnic glasses which tumbled to the ground.  When Bridget bent down to pick them up her pants ripped like this!  Since we had already started shopping we finished up the trip with Bridget pulling down her shirt every 3 seconds and Rachel reminding her when the hole was showing.  After the trip was done we were all laughing so hard and it will definitely be a memorable outing for her and Bridget!

 Josie has been taking naps in unusual places.

We have been having fun friends over and these two big girls (Erin Dixon and Annakate Morris) have been the life of the party on several occasions and were our great sitters while Bridget was at Girl's Camp.

 We spent a windy afternoon enjoying the bird refuge in Farmington.

Softball finished up and Rachel had so much fun this year with a great coach and team.  We loved how they cheered for each other and were grateful she was with so many fun girls.

Their team won first in regular season play with the most wins.  We had one happy girl!

 We have been busy with lots of activities like "Rachel's Bakery".

St. George cousins visited for the weekend and we headed to the Gateway to splash (and sit in the fountain).

 Swinging around this pole was another favorite activity.

Father's Day was a fun day and the kids made a sweet list of things they loved about their Dad.  Some of the highlights were Josie, "liking when Dad helps me poop (potty train)", and Ian, "liking when Dad wrestles on the tramp", and Rachel liked his "funny dances."  What a well-rounded and great Dad!

 Kristen made this incredible cake for Ethan's birthday.

This was a cute note Rachel made for herself as a reminder for something she wanted to try the next day (she hung it right above her bed).  It says, "make a model of invisabillity scoter and try to bild it."

Justin took Rachel on a rock climbing date and she did a great job.  Check out her bouldering skills.
