Because the fun events of the last few weeks have been so so busy and all jumbled up together, that's kind of how this blog post is going to end up being. Not quite in chronological order, but you get the point...
We were able to meet our new adorable nephew/cousin Sawyer (Cory and Kristen's little boy). He is such a sweet baby and Andy is still trying to figure out cute baby that is around for the summer.
One Memorial Day we hiked up Memory Grove. Andy is such a little trooper, it's pretty funny seeing him run all over trying to keep up with everyone.
Ian and Bridget had a date to a great music and magic show.
There was so, so much rain for the whole month.
Mother's Day was so sweet and the kids gave Bridget all sort of cards and trinkets. Rachel put together a delicious breakfast too.
Ian's card might have taken the cake this year though. Also an awesome ceramic necklace.

We had a great service night making sanitary supplies for women in 3rd world countries. It is a great cause an it was great to be able to make a difference for someone in need.
Andy is such a cute little "reader". He'll get a stack of books and look through them for quite a while now.
It is Centerville's 100th year since being incorporated and as part of the many celebrations this year they are trying to collect 100 quilts. Rachel and her friends had a great time making about 13 one night.
You think kids are all the same and then you realized they are just wired a little differently. Andy is obsessed with trucks, planes, and anything that goes.
Josie had a fun field trip to the zoo.
Andy took up residence in one of our many holes for landscaping projects.
Ian went on a hike with his friends for scouts.

We had amazing amounts of rain in May. It certainly made digging out garden plots a lot easier.
It also made the best mud puddles ever for kids.
Softball is in full swing and Rachel is doing great this year. She has been playing 1st almost every game and first in the lineup. She is in heaven.

At school Rachel made this beautiful chalk drawing in the style of Degas.
We let kids have their own garden plots and Josie was the first to finish hers. It turned out pretty darling and since the initial planting a cute little bunny has been added.
The Mountain Man Rendevous was a great hit. Bridget helped with the quilting and it's always fun to see Rachel at school.
Watching the square dancing and singing was so fun!
Ian got 100% on all of his spelling tests in 1st grade!
We had a fun Mother/Daughter activity where Rachel had to pick an outfit from Bridget's closet to model. It was pretty funny.

Justin has been trying to figure out what glasses to get and the kids have been loving trying on the samples.
Rachel earned money from dog-sitting and her and her friends went on a major shopping expedition to find matching shirts. So funny to see 7 girls trying to decide on one.

Bridget was a captain for Field Day and it was quite a fun, hot event. Ian and Rachel even ended up playing Monkey Tag together.

We have loved Ian's teachers this year. Mrs. Mullins is the cream of the crop and we love how she encourages learning. Yao Laoshi was in China for a month and missed the last day of school, but we sure loved her too!

And Mrs. Castro kept them motivated to the very end with systems like Excellence Points and other fun rewards. Rachel loved 4th grade. And her big news is she was chosen to be a library assistant for next year so she is in heaven.
Ian's 1st grade program was so so awesome. He was so animated it was hilarious.
We needed a fondue break after all this stuff!
