The Animals Aren't Just at the Zoo

Here is Ian with his adorable cousin Payton. Payton has such a cute personality and we love having him around. He very sweetly observes both Rachel and Ian's antics and usually thinks that they're pretty funny. Here's our attempts to get both of these boys smiling at the same time.

For Family Night this week, Justin did a fun David and Goliath game where we got to toss "rocks" (aka balls) at his chalk picture of Goliath on the wall. When we had Rachel recap one of her favorite scripture stories she told us, "you're never supposed to throw rocks at people, but David knew he had to do it!" Ian was a great little rock retriever.
So you'd think that this picture was taken around the end of the day, but both kids were this filthy at 9:30 in the morning (yes, they'd had baths the night before)! Grandpa has given us the job of watering the garden daily and it has been a very fun - and a very messy undertaking.

We also made it to the zoo this week and it was a hit as usual. Here is Rachel and Grandma on the new carousel.

Ian is still working on his molars and having quite a rough time with it. But, he still loved being outside and playing at the playground.
Another exciting thing this week has been Father's Day preparations. Rachel has been seriously looking forward to making blueberry muffins for her daddy because she knows they're his favorite. Right when she woke up, we got to work and made a fun breakfast for him. It was a hit to eat in bed with her dad and she also freely shared his food.
