Grandpa let Rachel carry around a rose that had been pruned and she loved this beautiful pink flower. She even replanted it in the ground and watered it many times.
Ian is turning into a serious climber. If the office door is ever left open he makes a dash for it and gets up on the chair to play with the mouse and keyboard. He also climbs on the toilet, beds, piano bench, and up on top of the table. Needless to say, the next post could show pictures of a baby with a concussion.

Ian loves Rachel's "silky" blanket that we made for her when she was little, so we thought it was time he got one of his own. Rachel was so sweet to help by cutting the ties and she was SO excited to give him the completed product. He loves it and cuddles up with it now during his naps and at night.

We have been enjoying a fun walking trail that they have by Lagoon and Rachel and Ian love the animals they have by the way (buffalo and elk). Whenever Ian sees any animals he gets excited and starts saying "da" while rapidly doing the sign by patting his leg. Rachel was enthralled with the elk this time because there were two babies that were right by the fence.
The other fun thing about the trail this week is the cotton that is all over. It looks like snow covering the ground and Rachel took the opportunity to make "snowballs" and throw them at us.

This week Bridget and Rachel headed off to Red Butte Gardens and it was amazing (thanks, Audrey!). We're going to have to go back soon with everyone because there was so much to see (Rachel told Justin on our return that there were 27 or 55 flowers there)! But, the definite his was the Children's Garden. Here is Rachel standing by the entrance.
The Children's Garden had fountains, mazes, little houses, a yellow brick road with the Tin Man, giant lizards, and this incredible birthday cake. As you can see, Rachel loved it and if you look closely she was soaking wet from enjoying the fun fountains too.

Bridget your family is so cute. YOur little boy and i do the same thing when we see elk and deer. Of course i have to have see a really big buck or bull before i start patting my leg.
