Spring Break

As if the weather was wishing us a great spring break at USU, the first day of the break we got 18 inches of new snow. Here was our poor car after the snow-filled day.

Poor Ian is seriously accident prone. Here is the best picture we could get of his black eye that he gave himself by falling into his shelves while trying to clean up his toys. During the break he also added two pretty great scrapes on the other side of his face. Poor kid.

See what all this snow does to a family? With some heightened fashion sense, Justin was showing Rachel his "handsome outfits." She thought her dad was hilarious and of course had to get in on the dress-up action. She did refer to him in the finished product as a "massive dork" - in a loving way, of course.

We are very proud of our little girl - she has turned into quite the saver. We only give her $1 a week for allowance (she has a chore chart that she marks off with her work to earn the money) and she saved for almost two months to get this coveted Ariel umbrella. She was so proud of herself that she got to pay the cashier like a big girl. It's sad that she really is turning into a big girl so quickly!

Spring break finally gave us the chance to have cute Bailey over and Rachel was in girl heaven. They were so cute together and for some reason they insisted on using some stickers to give themselves a new look.

After a few days in Logan we went down to Salt Lake for Bridget's cousin Rachel's wedding. It was such a fun two days to be able to see family and the bride and groom seem ecstatic. There are even flowers at Temple Square, so it gave us a glimpse of spring. Here are cute Audrey and Sophie.

Here is some proof that we did attend since Bridget wasn't up on her photography during the trip (thank you Uncle Roice, Sara, and Kelli for pictures). And, here's further proof that we are actually expecting baby #3. The maternity clothes are definitely being used.

The food at the reception and dinner was delicious and Rachel was thrilled to be able to choose her own ice cream and Italian soda.

The bride with Uncle Roice and Aunt Andrea. This was the first reception our Rachel had ever attended and she thought that the bride's dress was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen. We'd have to agree that she was stunning!

It was so fun to be able to see cousins that we haven't seen since the last wedding. Heather and Sara came from California for the big event.

The next day we decided to enjoy the beautiful sunshine by going to the zoo. It was so nice to see Sara a little more before she had to go back to school.

and Ian and Payton opted for their first "choo-choo" ride. Both boys were enthralled and reportedly sat very still.

To top off the break, we ate at a new Jimmy Johns in Salt Lake (yummm!) and then went to a Utah gymnastics meet. Ian wasn't too sure about staying up so late, so Bridget took him home really early, but it was fun to get to see a little bit.

Rachel and Payton, however, had a blast with their new light sticks and staying up WAY too late. It was such a nice break and so good to see so much family. Thank you to everyone for pictures and for the great rest from school life.
